He tended bar at the Watkins Glen Elks Lodge and often referred to himself as a "Psychologist." In addition to being a member of the Watkins Glen Elks Lodge 1546, he was a past member of the Mechanics Club and the VFW.
He always enjoyed being outdoors, especially when he was on neighborhood watch.
